Dog Boarding

Information and Requirements

*ALL OVERNIGHT BOARDS REQUIRE A DEPOSIT*

Here at The Belmont it’s all about luxury and comfort for our four legged friends. We believe that all our guests should receive 5 star treatment and spend their nights in their own individual “Luxury Suite.” After a fun filled day of activities in daycare, they deserve to indulge in the comfort of a quiet, private place for a great night’s sleep. Our Luxury Suites are truly unique and come in different sizes to accommodate your pet the best way possible. If you have multiple dogs, you may choose to board them together or separate. Please keep in mind we only board guests in the same suite if they are from the same household. We do not board overnight dogs from different families together for safety reasons.

Please make sure to bring enough food for your pets entire stay. The Belmont does not provide food for your pet as we truly believe that keeping them on the same diet reduces the stress on their digestive system and prevents any allergic outbreaks from happening.

We just want our guests to be HAPPY and HEALTHY! Dogs are much happier when they are mentally stimulated and tired at the end of the day. Our goal is to have all of our dogs go into their suites at night with low energy after a long day of play, this prevents anxiety and boredom. Remember a tired dog is a happy dog! We require that ALL OUR GUESTS complete a two part Temperament Test 48 hrs before any boarding or daycare reservations can be made. The best part is that DAYCARE IS INCLUDED in all our boarding stays at no extra charge!

Dog Boarding

Senior Dogs

Dogs must be over 15lbs to participate in our daycare program. Dogs under 15lbs, after completion of the 1st temperament test, are still able to board but will be on a Potty Breaks Only schedule.

Please note that while we do accept senior dogs for boarding, they are required to go up and down a flight of stairs to reach our outdoor areas. Supervisors will use their discretion if they feel your senior dog is suited to attend daycare or needs to be on a Potty Break Only schedule. We do not accept dogs with arthritis. We also do not accept pets that are diabetic or have other medical needs that require 24 hour surveillance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Medications

We are happy to supply your pet with their oral and topical medications at no charge. Please note that we do not administer injected medications nor are we able to give medications outside of our normal business hours.

Vaccination Requirements

All dogs are required to be current on their distemper (DHLPP), Rabies, influenza, Bordetella (Kennel Cough). Fecal exam is suggested due to social play, but not required. Please note that due to the communal nature of our establishment we require the Bordetella vaccination (intranasal) to be renewed every six months by your vet. These requirements MUST be done prior to boarding and your dog may not expire on any of these vaccinations during their stay.

Capstar

Capstar is a pill that when ingested, kills fleas within 30 minutes. It is not a preventative against fleas; it only kills the fleas that could currently be on your dog. It does not interfere with any current monthly preventative you administer to your dog, nor will it cause any complications with any medications your dog is currently taking.

The staff at The Belmont will give all our incoming pups a once over before playtime or boarding to ensure they aren't bringing any unwelcome guests into our facilities. Should we find any of those pesky vermin on your fur child (or any hint of flea dust) we will administer a Capstar pill to your pup for $5.00.

What to Bring

Please bring your pet’s food either in individual ziploc bags containing each meal’s portion, or their food bag/container with feeding instructions attached. In case you forget your dog’s food, or their stay is extended, we can provide house food for an extra charge of $5 per meal.

Your dog’s Luxury Suite has plenty of space for personal belongings, so feel free to bring any toys, blankets, etc., that would make him or her feel comfortable while staying with us! Please refrain from bringing food and water bowls as they are provided for your pup during their stay!
